Elizabeth Taylor is my idol; she has a timeless magnificent persona that should be treasured always. Richard Burton's and Elizabeth's lovely adoration for each other never ceases to amaze me; there is no better demonstration of what true love is and I can only hope that I will experience a fraction of that in my lifetime. I consider myself lucky to be their fan and to appreciate what they are to each other.

I refuse to freak out at this point about Lohan definitely having this role as my divine Elizabeth Taylor (for the record, it pains me to use both names in the same sentence). There is only one  media outlet reporting this as far as I know, which is ‘Access Hollywood” who is not 100% reliable. I have known them to mislead and report false information in the past - so we will see. Secondly, their information stems from a ‘source’ which is not a definite declaration. IF, and I mean IF, this happens…then the best thing we can do is everything in our power to protest. Elizabeth has fans from all 4 corners of the earth who love and adore her and will not tolerate this. Even still, while it would be an enormous insult and a slap in the face to divine E, it’s a NOTHING project. It’s lifetimeTV - aka the ‘men are satan’ network. It will be forgotten, just like that atrocious NBC TV movie that came out in 1995…and even that was a step up from this impending disaster. Elizabeth Taylor herself was against both of these TV movies for a reason; she knew they were both pure tabloid smut, regardless of who portrayed her.

The only worthwhile film in the works is the Scorsese project based on the most truthful recollection of Elizabeth and Richard - Furious Love.  He will do them justice and honor them both with a stellar cast (as stellar as we can get in this generation of Hollywood, that is).
